I became interested in art during the 1960's while in school. First as an art major then then as a student in structural engineering. A stint in the U.S. Navy and a young family then took me in an entirely different direction. After many years in the computer industry my interest in art returned and in the late 1980s I started a part time career in photography with a special interest in wedding photography.

In 2008 I was introduced to the medium of custom hand engraving using a high-speed dental drill. This allows me to express my artistic talent on many different surfaces. In 2009 I was recognized as a certified engraver. For Special Events and during holidays I am often engaged in engraving fragrance bottles at Dallas/Ft Worth area high end retail stores in locations such as the Galleria, Stonebriar Mall, N.E. Mall, Ridgmar Mall, North Park Center, and Firewheel Centers. I  also enjoys the free format of engraving auto glass with custom designs. Wine bottles, hunting knives, golf clubs, or most other hard surfaces may be the canvas for his art.

An additional expression of my art followed when I started to carve ostrich eggs. This has become a passion and I spend hours on carving ostrich eggs with “one of a kind” original designs offering a distinguished gift or decorating accessory that would add to anyone’s unique environment.

Personal: Scott and his wife, Janet, have been together since their marriage in 1967. They enjoy fellowship with their extended family and especially their grandson Zachary
